Every actor should have at least a free profile on these services. They all have additional, paid, memberships -- do your homework to find out which one(s) are the best value!
If you are listed on IMDB, you should have at least one headshot up. Also recommended that you add a resume, although IMDb creates one from your credits. If casting is looking for details, they will most likely turn to the most other sources.
You (the actor) are responsible for the content on the online services -- make sure your resume is accurate and your headshots are up to date.
Make sure you have a private contact number listed as well as your representation -- you want to make sure casting can reach you anytime!
Creating a weblink for your online profiles:
For Actors Access:
Log into Actors Access.
Go to My Tools, then Custom Link.
If you see numbers in the text box, change those to something of your choosing (such as your name!).
Click Save.
For LA Casting:
Log into LA Casting.
Resume, then Resume Link.
Type your name in the text box.
Click Save.
For Casting Networks (for actors located outside of LA):
Log into Casting Networks.
Resume, then Resume Link.
Type your name in the text box.
Click Save.
For Now Casting:
Log into Now Casting.
Go to Edit Profile, then Web Page & Links.
Type your name in the text box.
Click Update My Profile.
For ActorCast:
Your direct weblink will appear on your main profile page (created by their system.)
For Casting Frontier: need to be a Premium Plus member
For IMDb (must be a Pro Member):
Go to your IMDbPro page
Select "Edit Your Page" located at the bottom of the page
Select "Vanity URL & other external websites"
Enter your Vanity URL and select "Save"
